Scott Myers worked for 35 years as an engineer and project/operations manager in the upstream oil and gas industry. Through his engineering and management experience, he learned the importance of planning, organization, and diligence to details. He joined eXp Commercial after discovering their many advantages. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Candidate, having taken and passed three of the four required core courses. He has also completed training and received certification from the National Commercial Real Estate Association (NCREA).
Contemplating making a late in life career change, Scott strongly considered purchasing a business brokering franchise. After weighing the pros and cons of a franchise, he decided that it would be better to start via commercial real estate and then incorporate business brokering. It couldn’t have worked out better. He has completed training and received course certification for business brokering. The course work was provided by Joe Caffrey, a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), who is the owner of Worldwide Business Brokers. The CBI designation is given by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) to members who have completed the required coursework and have verifiable experience in business brokering transactions. Scott is a member of the IBBA and is actively pursuing the CBI designation. He has also been accepted into eXp Commercial’s Business Brokering program and is mentoring under Gerard Perillo with Shark Team Florida. Gerard has been a business broker since 2005 and is a CBI and a certified eXp Commercial Business Broker Mentor.
In addition to being a member of the TeamWorx networking group, Scott is also is a member of AREAA, The Shelby County Chamber, the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Irondale Chamber of Commerce.
